Colon hydrotherapy as a supportive treatment

Colon hydrotherapy can be used as a supportive treatment for constipation, especially when other methods such as dietary fiber, hydration, and gentle laxatives have not been effective.

Here's a clear overview:

Potential Benefits for Constipation:

✅ Immediate relief from bloating, sluggishness, and fecal backup.

✅ Stimulates peristalsis (the natural movement of the bowel) in some individuals.

✅ Hydration of the colon, which can help soften and move hard, impacted stool.

✅ Reset effect for those with chronic sluggishness who need a short-term intervention.

Considerations:

If constipation is recurring, the underlying cause (e.g., heavy metal toxicity which is number 1 in my opinion, poor diet, dehydration, thyroid issues, medications, gut dysbiosis, pelvic floor dysfunction) should be addressed.

Hydrotherapy should always be done by a qualified, experienced therapist using hygienic, filtered water and sterile equipment.

Not suitable for people with certain conditions like severe hemorrhoids, active infections, recent bowel surgery, or kidney disease.

Supportive Tips Alongside Colonics:

✅ Increase soluble and insoluble fiber intake (chia seeds, flaxseeds, kiwifruit, quinoa, vegetables).

✅ Stay well hydrated – warm lemon water can help stimulate digestion.

✅ Consider magnesium citrate or oxide as a safe, non-habit-forming stool softener.

✅ Support the liver and gallbladder, as bile flow helps bowel regularity.

✅ Consider probiotics or fermented foods to restore gut flora after colonics.

✅ Gentle movement or walking can stimulate natural bowel motion.
